Bajaj Freedom 125 has been the talk of the town ever since its launch on July 5. This is the first CNG powered bike in India as well as in the world. Again it has petrol tank. As a result, Freedom is currently the only two-wheeler that runs on dual fuel. The arrival of the bike is aimed at those who want to save on oil consumption. Even before the launch, the bike has generated interest among the buyers.
According to a Bloomberg report, the CNG bike has received 6,000 bookings within a week. Let it be known that Bajaj started taking bookings from July 18. It is being reserved by depositing Rs.1,000. Now Freedom 125 is available only in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Production will be ramped up and will be made available in other states soon.
Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG: Price & Mileage
This CNG motorcycle has been launched in three variants. Drum i.e. the base version is priced at Tk 95,000. On the other hand, the Drum LED and Disc LED models are priced at Rs 1,05,000 and Rs 1,10,000 respectively (ex-showroom). It has a 1 kg CNG tank, which can run up to 202 km on full. And 130 km mileage can be obtained from 2 liter petrol tank. The company claims that it can run up to 330 km.
The Bajaj Freedom is powered by a 125 cc fuel injected engine that produces 9.4 hp and 9.7 Nm of torque. Telescopic forks at the front and segment first linked type suspension at the rear are provided to handle the suspension duties. Only the front wheels will get disc brakes. Bajaj claims it as the longest seat motorcycle.
