Ending the wait, Ather Energy has announced the start of deliveries of their new electric scooter Rizta. The company's Chief Executive Officer Tarun Mehta informed about this in a social media post. Currently, Ether Rizta is delivering to customers in Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Agra, Jaipur, and Nagpur. It will be launched in other cities soon.
Note that Rizta is Ether's first family electric scooter and the cheapest model. It is built on the Aether 450 model platform. Available in two variants – S and Z. In terms of design, it is more traditional than the Aether 450 series. The body panel is big and the seat is very wide. There is also more underseat storage due to the length.
The Ether Rizta S model is available in a 2.9 kWh battery pack. On the other hand, the Z variant is available in a 3.7 kWh battery pack in addition to the 2.9 kWh. It offers a true range of 125 km. The Z model offers a 7-inch color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. The 'DeepView' LCD display is present in the S version.
The user interface is different compared to the Aether 450X. Other features of Ether Rizta include Smart Eco, Zip Mode, Traction Control System, etc. The price of the electric scooter starts from Rs 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom).
