The trend of buying electric scooters among Indians is increasing. Among which the choice of young generation buyers is high-performance model. Considering that, Ather Energy launched 450 Apex at the beginning of 2024. Being the company’s most premium and flagship model, the price is a bit higher at Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This time the delivery of this e-scooter is going to start said Ether.
Ather Energy is about to deliver 450 Apex
Ether confirmed that the production of 450 Apex has started. The company’s co-founder and CTO Swapneel Jain even released a picture of the new model. From the factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, they are on their way to the showroom. If all goes well, deliveries will start from March. The special feature of the scooter is the transparent body panel. So some of the internal hinges are exposed from the outside.

The latest model based on the 450X platform is the Ather 450 Apex. Powering the two wheels is a PMS electric motor, which will generate 7 kW of power. Its peak torque is 26 Nm. New Warp+ mode present in Apex. That is why its maximum speed is 100 km per hour. It can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 2.9 seconds. Whereas the 450X takes another 0.4 seconds longer.
Ather 450 Apex also has quite a few surprises in its feature list. It features regenerative braking with negative throttle input. As a result, the speed of the scooter can be reduced by simply twisting the accelerator in the opposite direction without using the brake lever all the time. It is claimed that the range will be up to 157 km. Where 450X is 150 km shorter. The Ather 450 Apex can be chosen with Blue and Orange color schemes.
