After Airtel, Jio and Vodafone Idea's tariff hike, BSNL has become the preferred telecom operator by offering various recharge plans at affordable prices. To increase this popularity, they have launched Live Tv app. According to the company, this new app has been launched only for Android users. And it can be downloaded from Google Play Store right now. But, nothing is said yet about the features available in this app. But BSNL's move shows that like other telecom operators, the state-owned company is also looking to expand beyond traditional telecom services.
What can BSNL Live TV app contain?
BSNL's Live TV app is expected to offer customers a bundle of entertainment, TV, Internet and landline telephone services. And since this integration runs on Android based systems, the customer experience will become even easier. According to reports, this new app is developed by WeConnect. And BSNL has taken this step to provide more additional benefits to the customers.
BSNL subscribers can get IPTV services at affordable rates
Internet Protocol Television service or IPTV service was launched earlier this year through BSNL Fiber, with a minimum monthly charge of Rs 130. Notably, this service eliminates the need for a traditional set top box. Moreover, through this service, the cost of the users also comes down a lot.
And, with the BSNL Live TV app, users can now also access the IPTV service directly from their Android devices. As this service can be accessed directly from Android devices, it is expected that its adoption will increase in the future.
It may be noted in this context that currently BSNL is focusing on expanding its network capacity by launching new services along with network expansion. BSNL's affordable plans have been well received by customers as the recharge plans of other telecom companies have gone up in price. And so to stay competitive, the state-owned company is investing in its network upgrades besides offering budget-friendly plans. It is reported that it has already installed more than 15,000 4G towers, which can be converted to 5G in the future.
