Ahead of Apple 12 series launch Apple iPhone 13 series specifications emerges out from a trusted source. While the launch date of the iPhone 12 series is not even revealed the specifications of next-gen iPhone models are coming. Apple recently unveiled the new generation iPad and new smartwatches in the Apple files event.
The upcoming iPhone 13 and iPhone SE 3 information was shared by Ross Young of DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultants) on Twitter. These details come from his company as well as the Mizuho Securities. The tweet suggested that there will be no SE model in 2021 that might come in 2022.
Apple iPhone 13 and iPhone SE3 Specifications
According to a shared tweet, the Apple iPhone 13 series will feature the same-sized displays as that of the iPhone 12 models. Additionally, there will be no SE this year but iPhone SE 3 will come with iPhone 13 models and will feature 6.06 inches sized display like that of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 pro. Leaving the iPhone SE 3 aside the other four phones in the 13 series will have integrated touch (Y-Octa) panels while SE 3 will have an in-cell panel. The suggested exact sizes of their displays are listed below:
- iPhone 13 ( mini )– 5.42-inch
- iPhone 13 – 6.06-inch
- iPhone 13 Pro – 6.06-inch
- iPhone 13 Pro Max – 6.67-inch
- iPhone SE 3 – 6.06-inch
All the models of the Apple iPhone 13 series are tipped to come with OLED panels though the manufacturers of panels are different. The top model of the series will get the display panel from SDC ( Samsung Display Co., Ltd. ) while the other two models will feature LGD ( LG Display ) and BOE panel and the lowest variant will come with SDC and LGD panel. The SE 3 model will come with a Retina LCD display from the supplier Sharp and JDI.
According to the Gizmochina report, all models will come with ProMotion technology (high refresh rate) except the Pro Max model will feature LTPO for variable refresh rate like the Galaxy Note20 Ultra.
In terms of camera, the iPhone 13 and lower mini model will boast a dual rear camera with the same 1.7µm sensor, the primary sensor is similar to the iPhone 12 pro max while the pro and pro max model sports a triple rear camera with a 1.9µm sensor along with ToF sensor. The iPhone SE 3 features a similar dual-camera setup to that of the iPhone 11.
The Apple iPhone 13 series will come with the 5G support while the pro and pro max have support for mmwaves. All of the handsets come with face ID support. The iPhone SE 3 will also have 5G support but only sub-6GHz like the regular iPhone 12 and 13 models. Also, the upcoming SE model will not have Face ID support and feature fingerprint scanner, the scanner might be rear or side-mounted.
