Mitron App crossed 1.7 Crore downloads and raises Rs 2 Crore seed funding


Mitron App crossed 1.7 Crore downloads after the ban of TikTok from India. The App also got seed funding from 3one4 Capital and a Letsventure syndicate of about 2 Crores. Shivank Agarwal ( Founder and CEO of Mitron App ), a computer science engineer and IIT Roorkee alumnus, founded the Mitron app along with Anish Khandelwal ( Co-Founder and CTO of Mitron App) earlier this year.


Last week, Mitron App crosses 1 crore downloads and after Just 7 days, the App has gained 70 lakh more downloads. The app goes viral on the Internet after the controversy of Youtube vs Tiktok. Now the App raised seed funding of Rs 2 Crores from 3one4 Capital and a Letsventure syndicate. Arun Tadanki’s lead of the lets venture syndicate said “We have been working with founders from [the] pre-incorporation phase and we believe that [the] founding team is top-notch with an ability to build a world-class product for Indian users”.


About Mitron App


In its starting phase, the App has various bugs and issues. Even Last Month, it was removed from Google Playstore for violating Google’s “Spam and Minimum Functionality” policy for a couple of days. Earlier, Many reports also claimed that its source code is copied from a Pakistani App named TicTic.



Shivank Agarwal, Founder and CEO of the app said in a mailed statement “With the support of this round, our focus is on building features and supporting content that uniquely resonates with Indian users while prioritizing community standards and local laws in India”.


“We are now doubling down on improving the full breadth of user experience on the app and we are looking forward to releasing some exciting new features soon,” he added


Currently, Mitron has 10 million+ downloads with 4.4 ratings on Playstore. Anish Khandelwal (Co-founder of Mitron App) said “Our platform is now completely scalable and autonomous and that is helping us to cater to the sharp rise in traffic and engagement on Mitron app”.


Along with Mitron App other apps also gained lots of downloads after the ban of Tiktok came to place. Chingari App has reached 5 million downloads on Playstore, while share chat also launches a new App called Moj, which offers similar functionality and features as TikTok.
