Amazon launches a dedicated Amazon prime video app for Windows 10 on Thursday. It allows users to stream Prime videos online and download Prime videos for offline viewing. The App is available for free on Microsoft store but users need an app subscription, which costs Rs 129 for a month and Rs999 for a year.
Amazon finally launched its Amazon Prime Video app for Windows to compete with Netflix. Earlier, users have to go on Amazon prime website to access Amazon Prime video content and there is no option to download videos but with the desktop app, users can now view content or even download prime videos for offline viewing too.
Amazon prime video app for Windows only stream up to 720p Quality
According to a report by The Verge reveals that the Windows 10 app would not stream higher than HD or 720p resolution which is similar to the limits on the iPad version of the App, while users can stream Full HD content through a web browser. Amazon Prime desktop app can download videos in three quality options- Good, Better, and Best.
Amazon Prime video “watch party” feature
Likewise Netflix, Recently Amazon also introduced the watch party features that allow users to watch movies or shows with a friend online. With Watch party features, One User can chat with up to 100 friends while they watch movies and TV shows together
