Ampere, the electric two-wheeler manufacturing arm of Greaves Electric, is bringing a modern design battery scooter to India. The company has recently filed trademarks for the names Aspirus and Nexus in the country. This trademark filing by Ampere while preparing to bring the electric scooter is considered to be complete.
Ampere brings new electric scooter
Reports claim that it will be based on the NXG e-scooter concept showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. The upcoming new model may be named – Ampere Nexus. Ampere recently completed a ride from Kashmir to Kanyakumari on an electric scooter.
The company used the hashtag ‘NEX big thing’ for the upcoming model. Currently the Primus scooter is sold as the flagship model by the company. The NXG based electric scooter is expected to be positioned above the Primus.
Important features on the Ampere Nexus include a digital instrument console, all LED lighting, a front disc brake, connected tech, etc. Please note that filing a trademark may not necessarily mean that the name will be used in an upcoming product. It is possible to talk about the details of the model only after the launch.
