Royal Enfield is currently gearing up to bring several new motorcycles. Their only aim now is to cater to the 450-650 cc segment. The name of the Scrambler 650 is on that list. Testing of this scrambler model is currently underway. Besides, the company is running a trial of a bike of 450 cc. Which is going to come as a powerful version of Royal Enfield Hunter.
Royal Enfield Hunter 450 may be launched this year
Note that the Hunter 350 model is currently sold by the company. Sales are booming every month. So seeing the great success, it is believed that the plan is to bring a more powerful 450 cc version. Royal Enfield launched the Himalayan 450 last year. According to experts, the Hunter 450 may come with the same engine. And the bike was caught during road testing for the second time in a month.
The new Royal Enfield Hunter will ride on 17-inch wheels. It has block pattern tires. The alloy wheel design is similar to the Shotgun 650. Again the Hunter 350-like rounded headlights and tank design are noticed. At the rear, there are integrated LED tail lights, indicators and the Himalayan 450’s exhaust.
Hunter 450 will ride on telescopic front fork and rear monoshock suspension. The high handlebar and mid-set footpegs give it an upright riding posture. It may be based on the Himalayan 450. As a result, it will have a 450 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, Sherpa engine. Its output is 40.02 ps and 40 nm.
The Hunter 450 is likely to be priced at Rs 2.6 lakh (ex-showroom). This bike can come in the market this year. Rival motorcycles in the market include – Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Hero Mavrick 440, Harley-Davidson X440 and QJ Motor SRC 500.
