Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio are currently offering 5G services in India. The company is now offering 5G services with 4G plans at no extra cost. However, India Ratings and Research (India Ratings and Research) expects the two Indian telecom operators to end their promotional offer very soon. According to them, the tariff of 4G plans may be hiked and 5G plans may be introduced separately.
Airtel and Jio may end promotional 5G offers soon, India Rating and Research (Ind-Ra) has said in a report. And the pricing of 5G plans may also be announced early next year. However, they expect that there will not be much difference between the prices of 4G and 5G plans. Because, in practical terms, the same services that 5G currently provides are also available in 4G Plus. So excessive price hikes may cause consumers to lose interest in 5G.
In fact, the rating firm believes that 5G tariffs may be lower than 4G on a per GB basis. Their claim is that if 1GB of 4G data currently costs you Rs 5, 5G can cost you Rs 2 to Rs 3.
The rating firm (Ind-Ra) expects this to increase 5G subscribers in India from 17 percent to 20-25 percent. And, 5G subscribers can grow at least 2 to 4 times faster than the rate at which 4G subscribers grew in India.
