Hero took the wraps off the second generation Destini 125 scooter in September last year. After five months, today the company has officially announced the launch of the scooter. It comes in three variants – VX, ZX and ZX+. Prices are Rs 80,450, Rs 89,300 and Rs 90,300 respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Destiny 125 has been in the Indian market for six years. This is the model's biggest upgrade since its initial launch in 2018.
Hero Destiny 125: Design, Specifications, Features
The main attraction of the new Hero Destiny 125 is the curvy bodywork. Also, modern elements like LED headlights and turn indicators neatly integrated into the apron add to the cool looks. Hero is offering three colors in the VX trim – Eternal White, Regal Black, and Groovy Red. The ZX has two options – Cosmic Blue and Mystic Magenta. And the ZX+ will be available in Eternal White and Regal Black paint schemes.
This scooter is very rich in terms of features. The base variant gets projector LED headlamps, DRLs, Type-A charging port, analog instrument cluster and boot lamps. Interestingly, the base variant also has a parking brake lock on the rear brake lever, which is not available on the higher variants.
Talking about the higher variants, the ZX and ZX+ offer front disc brakes, a digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, a backrest and auto-cancelling inductor. The Hero Destiny 125 scooter has a 125 cc single cylinder engine. It is capable of producing 9 bhp and 10.4 Nm of torque.
The scooter has a 5 liter fuel tank located under the seat. The filler is just above the tail lamp. The model has 19 liters of underseat storage and 12-inch wheels at both ends. Destini 125 will compete with TVS Jupiter 125, Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125 in the Indian market.
