TVS Motor Company came up with a big surprise during the festive season. They have brought the cheapest variant of TVS Raider 125. The drum brake variant of this stylish commuter motorcycle has been launched at Rs 84,469 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is Rs 11,400 cheaper than the base model (Rs 95,869 ex-showroom).
With the addition of drum brakes, the price has come down, making it affordable. The TVS Raider 125 Drum will be available in a pair of color options namely Striking Red and Wicked Black. Except for the hardware (read disc brakes instead of drums) it offers the same design and style as the other variants.
The features list includes LED lighting, LCD digital instrument cluster, and ride mode. It got all the features of the single-seat model. The TVS Raider 125 Drum will run on a 124.8 cc air-cooled engine like the rest of the variants. It will produce 11.2 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 11.1 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.
The TVS Raider 125 offers a five-speed gearbox. For suspension, the motorcycle has telescopic forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. Incidentally, this bike has developed its own identity in terms of features and style in the commuter segment. However, with the arrival of Hero Xtreme 125R, the demand has recovered somewhat. So the company has brought a relatively cheap variant by reducing the price.
