This week, Apple launched the iPhone 16 lineup comprising of the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Based on the certification from China Quality Certification Center, all the models in this series will have fast charging capability up to 45W. This will mark a 50% boost over the iPhone 15 series. iPhone 16 series fast charging support
An X user reported that the iPhone 16 series models are tested at 5-15 volts and 3 amps, amounting to 45 watts of power. In comparison, the iPhone 15 series offers up to 29 watts of fast charging.
It's worth noting here that Apple was silent on Wired Fast Charging at launch. This is not unusual, as the company usually refrains from discussing the matter. In fact, Apple has a history of not disclosing iPhone battery capacity, so this omission isn't too unexpected. This indicates that the fast charging upgrade is just a surprise for the iPhone 16 series, with more interesting information about the lineup coming soon.

iPhone 16 series will get 8 GB of RAM
As with wired fast charging and battery capacity, Apple's RAM specifications aren't initially revealed. However, some information has already come forward in this regard. A new report by MacRumors in collaboration with ISWUpdates has revealed that the Apple iPhone 16 series will offer 8GB of RAM.
The iPhone 16 Pro series will have the same minimum RAM capacity as the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. But the standard iPhone 16 model—the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus phones—get a 2GB upgrade over the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models.

The upgrade is mainly for Apple Intelligence features, which require a minimum of 8 GB of RAM to run properly. The latest iPhone 16 series is on pre-booking and will be available for sale from September 20.
