Honda is ruling the world of scooters in India. The Japanese two-wheeler brand has achieved huge success in the domestic market with the Activa model. But so far they have not launched any electric scooter. However, if everything goes well, this picture is expected to change in the next three to four months.
When will Honda launch electric scooter in India?
Honda had earlier announced that it is developing several battery-operated two-wheelers for the Indian as well as the global market. However, their EV products have not been launched in the domestic market so far. But looking at rivals, TVS and Bajaj have launched multiple variants of their iQube and Chetak electric scooters. As a result, Honda is no longer a sitting vessel.
Activa Electric has been speculated for a long time. But instead of launching in haste, Honda has taken a slow-moving policy with the scooter. Even as the e-scooter segment in India has taken off in the past two years, they are moving forward with two things in mind – method and plan. Activa is a company reluctant to rush for its reputation.
