Bajaj Auto last month launched the world's first CNG bike, the Freedom 125. The motorcycle was initially available in Gujarat and Maharashtra. But now it is available in 78 places including Delhi, Karnataka, and Kerala. Bajaj said it sold around 2,000 units of the Freedom in July. Already 60,000 buyers have inquired about the bike.
Incidentally, the delivery of the Bajaj Freedom 125 is yet to begin. Moreover, it could not be made available everywhere in the country. For now, only the top variant is being delivered. Gujarat and Maharashtra have a lot of CNG filling stations, so the bike first set foot in these two states. There is no doubt that the sales will increase by leaps and bounds after the launch across the country.
Bajaj Freedom 125 Price and Mileage
Bajaj Freedom has been launched in three variants. The drum version is priced at Rs 95,000. On the other hand, the Drum LED and Disc LED models will cost Rs 1,05,000 and Rs 1,10,000 (ex-showroom) respectively. It has a 1 kg CNG tank, which can run up to 202 km when full. A 2 liter petrol tank is also provided, from which a mileage of 130 km can be obtained. The company claims that it will run continuously up to 330 km.
Performance, hardware and speed
A 125 cc fuel injected engine is used in the Freedom, which produces 9.4 hp and 9.7 Nm of torque. Telescopic forks at the front and linked type suspension at the rear. Only the front wheels will get disc brakes. The top speed of the bike in CNG mode is 90.5 kmph. And slightly higher in petrol mode, which is 93.4 km/h. Eleven safety test of Bajaj bike.
