The Hero Destiny 125 is likely to be launched in a new avatar by September. Although the organization did not say anything, this is known from various sources. Hero is bringing the facelifted version of Destiny to take on popular models like Activa and Jupiter in the 125cc scooter market. The design of the scooter has already come forward from the pictures leaked online.
In terms of styling, the new Hero Destiny 125 will offer both retro and modern elements. The front apron gets new LED headlamps and copper accents. The front design is completely different from the current model. There are some creases in the bodywork. The tail section is very nicely designed. Has back rest for pillion rider.
Although it looks different, the new generation Hero Destini 125 will run on a 125 cc, single cylinder, air cooled engine like the current model. No change in performance will be made. As a result, the powertrain will produce a maximum power of 9 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 10.4 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. It will be accompanied by a CVT automatic gearbox.
Talking about the hardware, the new Destiny will come with telescopic fork and monoshock suspension. It will have the same alloy wheels as the Hero Zoom. The base version will get drum brakes and the top variant will get disc brakes. The new model is likely to be priced between Rs 80,000 and Rs 85,000 (ex-showroom). The new Hero Destini 125 is expected to take on the Suzuki Access, Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter.
