BSA Gold Star is an iconic name in the vintage bike community. Now this retro motorcycle is going to enter India in a new avatar. Classic Legends, the owner of the Jawa and Yezdi brands, has announced the launch of the BSA Gold Star in the Indian market on August 15. This is the third brand in their portfolio. Engine specification and design
The BSA Gold Star will be powered by a 652 cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine, which will produce 45 bhp of power and 52 Nm of torque. It will be accompanied by a five-speed gearbox. The weight of the bike is 213 kg. It retains its iconic British styling. The classic metal tank with chrome, round headlights, wide handlebars, twin-pod instrument cluster, and spoke wheels give the bike a vintage look.
Hardware and Features
BSA Gold Star gets 41 mm telescopic front fork, dual rear shocks, 18 inch front and 17 inch rear tires, dual channel ABS, dual disc brakes (one per wheel). The company has kept the features very simple. Features like ABS mode, traction control, or connectivity features are not added to the bike. Its fuel tank capacity is 12 liters.

The BSA Gold Star's closest rival is the Royal Enfield Interceptor, priced at Rs 3.03 lakh (ex-showroom). Classic Legends can keep the price of the bike in the range of 3 lakhs to beat the Enfield. Since the motorcycle will be manufactured on Indian soil, there is a possibility that such a possibility is coming up.
