Flashing AI Features, Front-Rear 50MP Cameras, Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro Finally Launched in India

Oppo has finally launched the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro smartphones in India today as the latest addition to their popular Reno series. Both the phones are 5G-enabled and focus on features like advanced AI capabilities and sleek design Both the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro handsets feature Full HD+ OLED displays, MediaTek Dimension processors, 50-megapixel primary cameras and 5,000 mAh batteries. Let's know the specifications, features and price of Oppo Reno 12 series in detail.

Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro Price and Availability in India

The only 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant of the Oppo Reno 12 5G phone is priced at Tk 32,999. It will be available from July 25 on Oppo's website, Flipkart and other retail stores in Sunset Peach, Matte Brown and Astro Silver color shades.

On the other hand, the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G handset is priced at Tk 36,999, while the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage option is available at Tk 40,999. The sale of the Pro model is starting from July 18 through the company's website, Flipkart and other retail stores. It can be chosen in Space Brown and Sunset Gold color options. Also, Oppo is offering a launch discount with the new handsets along with instant cashback of up to Rs 4,000 and a 9-month no-cost EMI option.

Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro phone specifications

Both the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro feature a large 6.7-inch OLED FullHD+ Curved Infinity View display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1,200 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ support and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Corning Gorilla Glass protects the display of the Victus 2 standard model and Gorilla Glass 7i Pro model.

For durability, both the phones in the series have all-round armor protection, which increases resistance against falls and any kind of damage. High-strength alloy frames made from metals such as copper, magnesium and silicon provide a robust and corrosion-resistant build, meeting aerospace grade standards. Both devices have an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

For performance, the Oppo Reno 12 series phone has a MediaTek Dimension 7300 Energy processor built on a 4 nanometer process with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. The series runs on ColorOS 14 custom skin based on Android 14. Oppo has promised three years of OS updates and four years of security updates for both the Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12.

In terms of cameras, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro phone has a triple-lens rear setup comprising of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom.

The Oppo Reno 12 phone has a similar setup. However, the Pro model's telephoto camera has been replaced on this handset with a 2-megapixel macro camera for shots as close as 4cm. For selfies, there's a 32-megapixel lens on the standard model and a 50-megapixel sensor on the 12 Pro handset.

Oppo has also incorporated various AI-powered camera features into the phones. Like – AI Eraser 2.0 to remove unwanted objects from photos, AI Clear Face to improve group shots and AI Best Face to automatically fix closed eyes in photos. Also, the Oppo Reno 12 series will feature AI Smart Image Matting 2.0 for creative photo editing and AI Studio for adding backgrounds and creating unique group shots.

For power backup, both the Reno 12 series phones have a 5,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVoc fast charging support. It will also feature dual speakers, an IR blaster and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
