Popular OTT platform Netflix has been doing away with all annual subscription plans for a long time now and offering various monthly plans to its customers. And this time Jio Cinema adopted the same approach. Jio's OTT platform has recently removed its premium subscription annual plan. Currently they are offering two monthly plans. However, following Netflix's strategy, Jio Cinema's monthly subscription plans are not as expensive as Netflix. Rather much cheaper than that.
Let us inform you that a few days ago, Jio Cinema reduced the price of their annual plan from Rs 1,499 to Rs 599. Also, users were being offered a discount offer to recharge the annual plan at just Rs 299. However, now no more annuity plans are visible in the company's portfolio. There is no information available from Jio Cinema on whether the annual plan will be reintroduced in the future.
Premium plan of JioCinema
JioCinema currently has two premium plans available, priced at Rs 29 and Rs 89. Although the benefits of these two monthly plans are similar, there is a difference between them. Actually the Rs 89 plan is a family plan, that is, with this plan the user can stream content on four devices simultaneously. And in the Rs 29 plan, you can watch content on only one device.
Incidentally, both plans will allow customers to stream 4K content at the highest quality. Besides, it will also give access to all other premium content. And the Rs 89 plan can be enjoyed on any device like laptop, TV, mobile and tablet.
