Both Xiaomi and Honor are currently working on their brands' first flip-style foldable phones. Honor has already announced that it will launch the Honor Magic V Flip on June 20, although the company has not yet officially announced anything about Xiaomi's flip phone. However, these are not the only foldables that Xiaomi and Honor are currently working on. Both companies are also gearing up to launch their next book-style foldable phones, namely the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and possibly the Honor Magic V3. Now a well-known tipster has revealed the launch timeline and several specifications of the two handsets. Let's take a look at them.
The specifications and launch timeline of Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Honor Magic V3 phones have been leaked
A Chinese tipster claims that both these foldables will feature the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 handset is expected to feature a quad camera setup with a 5,000mAh battery and a telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom support.
The leaked camera setup details of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 phone are consistent with an earlier report, which revealed that it will have a 50-megapixel primary sensor, offering a 1/1.55-inch sensing area and optical image stabilization. It will be accompanied by a 1/2.8-inch Omnivision OV60A telephoto sensor with 2x zoom, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor.
The same report suggests that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 phone may offer an unmatched slim profile, likely to be the slimmest foldable on the market upon launch. This will be the first Xiaomi foldable with water resistance, as none of the company's previous foldables had any certification for water or splash resistance.
The tipster also revealed that the Honor Magic V3 foldable will have a bigger battery than its predecessor, though its exact capacity is unknown as of now. However, the tipster claims that both Xiaomi and Honor could launch their foldables in July.
