Since the launch of the first electric scooter in India three years ago, Ola Electric has shown its strength. As in other months, the Bangalore-based company is the country's top performer in terms of sales in May as well. Statistics from the central government's vehicle portal show that Ola sold 37,191 e-scooters last month, which is 6.26 percent higher than the same period last year.

Currently, Ola has maintained its position as the largest electric scooter company in the country by holding 49 percent market share. The demand has increased since the S1 X model was launched at a cheaper price. Its 2 kWh battery variant is priced at Tk 74,999 (ex-showroom).
The Ola S1 X is also available with 3 and 4 kWh battery packs. Prices are Rs 84,999 and Rs 99,999 respectively (ex-showroom). Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer, Ola Electric said, “We continue to lead the electric two-wheeler segment in India with a market share of 49%. Our registration volume has increased. We recently started delivery of the S1 X.”
Incidentally, apart from the S1 X, Ola's portfolio includes the S1 X+, S1 Air and S1 Pro. These three electric scooters are priced at Tk 89,999, Tk 1.05 lakh and Tk 1.30 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). Recently Ola has extended the warranty period on their electric scooters. The company currently offers a warranty of 8 years/80,000 km (whichever is earlier) on each model in the lineup.
