British company MG Motor has joined hands with state-owned oil company Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) to increase the number of electric vehicle charging stations. As a result, EV charging system will be available at the petrol pump.
Increasing the number of electric vehicle charging stations like petrol pumps is inevitable to increase the use of electric vehicles. Realizing this, MG Motor took significant steps. They have entered into a strategic partnership with state-owned oil company Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited or HPCL. The two companies will jointly install DC fast chargers of up to 60 kW in urban areas and near highways in the country. These will be installed at HPCL's petrol pumps.

MyMG mobile app and HPCL's network tool will help locate EV charging stations. This will benefit the buyers of MG ZS EV in this country. This charging station is also suitable for other electric vehicles that use CCS 2 charging regulations.
MG Motor, one of India's largest electric car sellers, has already tied up with several other providers. The aim is to expand their charging network. They joined hands with Zeon. Together they have committed to offering more than 300 EV chargers in the country.
According to MG Motor, loyalty rewards and exclusive promotions will be offered to electric car users who visit these charging stations. Let me tell you, MG currently sells two electric cars in India – the Comet EV and the ZS EV.
