Realme 5G smartphone with Mediatek Dimensity 720 SoC has been leaked by a tipster named Digital Chat Station on Weibo. The China tech company recently released its Realme V5 in China with the same chipset Dimensity 720 chipset. The tipster also said that the upcoming phone may introduce with a cheaper price tag than the Realme V5 which means that a more affordable Realme 5G smartphones may be launching in China soon.
According to the report, A Tipster Digital Chat Station posted on Weibo that Realme could launch another device with the same chipset MediaTek Dimensity 720 soon. A tipster also said that this upcoming device will be less expensive than the Realme V5.
Nonetheless, it is expected that the Realme 5G smartphone will be similar to the Realme V5 which suggests more affordable options with 5G connectivity might be announced in China soon. The tipster also reveals that the device is being developed to compete with the rumored Huawei Enjoy 20 that may expect to launch in the next couple of months.
Realme V5 features a 6.5-inch 20:9 full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) resolution hole-punch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 octa-core processor, Mali-G57 MC3 GPU, and coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.
In terms of camera, the phone equipped with the quad-camera setup on the Realme V5 includes a 48-Megapixel (primary) camera + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) lens + 2-megapixel (macro) lens and a 2-megapixel (monochrome) sensor. On the front camera, the phone comes with a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.
Realme V5 also packs with a 5000mah battery and 30W fast charging support. It also comes with dual-SIM (Nano+Nano) support and runs on Realme UI-based Android 10 OS. The base variant of the phone carries a price tag of CNY 1,399 (around Rs 15,000) for 6GB + 128GB storage, while the high end variant of the phone costs CNY 1,899 (around Rs 20,000) for 8GB + 128GB storage.
