Motorola is gearing up to unveil a new high-end smartphone in China soon, called the Motorola X50 Ultra. It is expected to be a rebranded version of Edge 50 Ultra which was recently launched in Europe. Although several information about the phone have been leaked online for the past few months, the company has not shared anything about its launch till now. But today finally the launch date of Motorola X50 Ultra phone has been confirmed by releasing an official teaser. The device is going to enter the market this month itself.
The Motorola X50 Ultra is coming to the Chinese market next week
The Motorola Edge 50 series phones are slowly starting to make their way into various markets. It was recently reported that the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion phone will be launched in the Indian market next week. On the other hand, Motorola Edge 50 Pro and Motorola Edge 50 Ultra models under this series have already been released in certain markets. And now an official teaser has revealed that the Chinese version of the Edge 50 Ultra is set to debut on May 16 as the Motorola X50 Ultra.
The official teaser showed the upcoming device in a beige color option. But since the Edge 50 is also available in Ultra Black and Peach Fuzz variants, it is expected that the Chinese model will also include these color shades. Since it is a rebranded version of the Edge 50 Ultra phone, its specifications are expected to be the same. So the Motorola X50 Ultra model could feature a 6.67-inch P-OLED (POLED) display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 2,500 nits peak brightness.
For performance, the Motorola X50 Ultra handset is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device is likely to run on Android 14 operating system.
For photography, the Motorola X50 Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel triple camera setup on the rear panel. And a 50 megapixel selfie camera will be located in front. In terms of power backup, the Motorola X50 Ultra phone will come with a 4,500mAh battery, which will support 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
