Samsung has been known to be gearing up for the launch of several new M-series smartphones for several days now. Now the South Korean company has officially announced the launch date of Samsung Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy M15 5G. Both the M-series phones are set to debut in India next week. Samsung has already confirmed the availability of the handsets on Amazon and also teased some of their specifications. And now, the microsite of Samsung Galaxy M55 5G and Samsung Galaxy M15 5G present on the e-commerce platform has revealed some new information.

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy M15 5G smartphones will be unveiled in India on April 8, 12 noon. Both the devices will be successors to the Galaxy M54 5G and Galaxy M14 5G respectively that debuted last year.
First let’s talk about the specifications of Samsung Galaxy M15 5G. It is expected to be a budget device. According to the Amazon listing, it will feature an sAMOLED display panel with a waterdrop notch with FullHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone will feature a flat frame, with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button.
The rear panel of the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G will feature a checkered pattern and will house a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The phone will have a 13-megapixel front-facing selfie camera.
In terms of performance, Samsung Galaxy M15 5G phone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor. And for power backup, it is confirmed to use a massive 6,000 mAh battery. Also, it is guaranteed to get four years of OS updates and five years of security patches.
According to the dedicated microsite of the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. The device will come with a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support. The phone will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display panel with a punch-hole cutout, offering FullHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness.
For photography, the rear panel of the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is confirmed to feature a vertically mounted triple camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro unit. And for selfies, there will be a 50-megapixel front camera. The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G phone will be available in Light Green and Black colors. The specifications of the Indian variant of the M55 5G are the same as the version launched in Brazil last week.
