The Indian government has banned 47 Chinese apps today, these apps were working as clones of banned Apps. The Government examines a list of over 250 apps that includes huge popular apps such as PUBG, AliExpress, ByteDance’s Resso ULike, Ludo World, and Xiaomi’s Zili.
Why the Indian Government banned 47 Chinese Apps?
After imposing a ban on 59 Chinese apps, the Indian government has banned more 47 Chinese apps for violation of national security and citizen’s privacy. The list of these apps is in the fresh decision is yet to be announced.
DD NEWS confirmed the news by tweeting a post in which they said “Govt. bans 47 such apps which are clones of those apps that have already been banned earlier“.

According to India Today TV report, the government had also prepared a list of over 250 apps that would be evaluated for any user privacy or national security violations that includes huge popular apps and games such as PUBG, AliExpress, ByteDance’s Resso ULike, Ludo World and Xiaomi’s Zili.
Earlier, The government has banned 59 apps including CamScanner, SHAREit, and UC Browser, many more. That ban was declared under the provisions of Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. The government had issued an order to telecom companies to block access of all those apps as well as their related websites shortly after announcing the decision. It also instructed Apple and Google to remove the banned apps from their app stores in the country.
