It was rumored last January that the Oppo K12 phone will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. This information came to light by a prominent tipster. And today, the same tipster posted some more information about this smartphone on social media. Although he did not specify the launch timeline of the device, it is believed that it will not take much time to hit the market. Let’s find out what information has come out about the upcoming phone.
Oppo K12 Specifications (Probable)
Digital Chat Station (DCS) claimed in its Weibo (Chinese microblogging site) post that the Oppo K12 will sport a 6.7-inch display, which is believed to be an AMOLED panel. The device is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which will be paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
There is no information available about the battery size or charging capacity of Oppo K12. For photography, the phone will have a triple camera setup on the back comprising of a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel and a 2-megapixel sensor. And in front of the phone there will be a 16 megapixel selfie camera.
However, it is not yet clear whether the Oppo K12 will inherit the display, camera and battery specifications from the Oppo K11 launched in China in July. The K11 features a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, a 16-megapixel front camera and optical image stabilization (OIS). -It has a triple camera unit consisting of 50 megapixel (Sony IMX890) + 8 megapixel + 2 megapixel sensors.
Incidentally, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 released in the global market last year was a tweaked version of the Oppo K11. So, it is likely that the Nord CE 4/5 model based on the Oppo K12 will hit the global market this year.
