Ever since the successful launch of the Realme 12 Pro series in the country last month, there have been speculations about the arrival of non-Pro models. It was rumored that the standard Realme 12 and Realme 12+ models will make their debut in the country soon. And now the launch date of both the handsets has been revealed. It is heard that the company is going to remove the screen from Realme 12 and Realme 12+ next month. Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore claimed in an X (ex-Twitter) post that the base Realme 12 and Realme 12 Plus will be launched in India on March 6, at 12 noon. Earlier, the tipster also revealed the specifications of the Plus model. On the other hand, Realme 12 Pro Plus and Realme 12 Plus will be launched in Malaysia on February 29. Besides, the Realme 12 Plus is expected to go on sale in several other countries soon.
Recent reports have revealed that the Realme 12+ model will sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 2,400 x 1,080 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to come with a triple camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro lens. And a 16 megapixel selfie camera can be seen in front of the phone.
In terms of performance, the Realme 12+ may include the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor. And for power backup, this Realme phone may come with a powerful 5,000mAh battery, which will support 67W fast charging. Besides, the Realme 12+ is likely to offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and will run on Realme UI 5.0 custom skin based on Android 14.
