At the beginning of February, Yamaha entered the market capture battle. To surprise the buyers, the company announced the launch of its only neo-retro bike in India, the new color variant of the FZ-X. The 150 cc motorcycle has appeared in an attractive chrome color scheme. The price has been kept at Tk 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the organization, they will give special gifts to the first 100 buyers.
The first 100 customers who book the Yamaha FZ-X chrome model will get a Casio G-Shock wristwatch. It will be given along with delivery of the bike. According to Yamaha India, the main objective of adding this new color variant is to attract young buyers. Chrome color scheme has been seen on various parts of the motorcycle including the headlamp and fuel tank. And other parts are decorated with brushed aluminum and black.
Like other Yamaha models, the wheel also has a gold touch. Let it be known that usually the touch of chrome is noticeable on two wheelers priced above 2 lakh rupees, Yamaha is offering this feature at 1.40 lakh rupees. The chrome version of the FZ-X has not undergone any technical changes except for an update to the colors. As before it will run on a 149 cc single cylinder, air cooled engine. This same engine is also present in the FZ-S. It produces a maximum power of 12.2 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 13.6 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.
Taking care of the suspension duties, Yamaha FZ-X Chrome model features telescopic front fork and rear monoshock unit. Braking system includes two wheel disc brakes and single channel ABS. Notable features of the FZ-X include full LED head lamps-tail lamps, traction control system, full digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, side stand engine cut-off function and USB charger.
