With the rate at which SUVs have started in India, the manufacturers do not understand that it is difficult for any company to survive if they do not update their models every few days. South Korean company Kia unveiled the facelift version of its best-selling SUV Seltos a few days ago. And today the car was officially launched. 2023 Kia Seltos price starts at 10.89 lakhs. The top-end X-Line trim is priced at Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The car is available in three trims – Tech Line, GT Line and X Line.
The Seltos car was first launched in the country in 2019. The mid-size SUV has gained immense popularity in the country. Apart from this the company has in its lineup – Sonet and Carens. Kia has updated the Seltos to stay in the fray with more expensive rivals like the Hyundai Creta.
The new Kia Seltos has received several interior and exterior design updates. It includes the second level of Advanced Driver Assistance System or ADAS (ADAS) technology. Again a completely new 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine has been offered.
2023 Kia Seltos : Design Update
The new version of the Kia Celts gets a tiger nose grille and new LED DRLs. The larger front bumper is equipped with new four point fog lights on both sides. The trims and variants have also seen innovation in the design of the alloy wheels. There are 16, 17 or 18 inch wheels depending on the model. At the rear, new LED tail lights, wide LED bars, functional exhaust have been given as updates. Again according to the trim, there is a big gray skid plate under the car.
2023 Kia Seltos : Cabin highlights
The latest model of Seltos does not have more cabin space than before. However, the car has received several feature updates. Such as rain sensing auto wiper, wireless phone charging, 8-speaker Bose sound system, new layout and driver display, air purification, rear window shade, ventilated front seat, power adjustable driver seat, ambient lighting, new dual-pane panoramic sunroof etc. Depending on the variant and trim, the car can be opted for either a black or beige color cabin theme.
2023 Kia Seltos : Engine & Transmission
The new Kia Seltos 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine model can be optioned with a 6-speed manual and an IVT gearbox. A 1.5 liter diesel engine option is also available. It comes with 6-speed IMT and 6-speed automatic transmission. As a new addition, the car gets a 1.5 liter T-GDi petrol engine. It will produce 158 bhp of power and 253 Nm of torque. It comes with 6-speed IMT and 7-speed DCT options.
