Recently, Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X have been launched in the Indian premium motorcycle market. The price of Speed 400 has been announced in a joint venture between Bajaj and Triumph. Which is Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom). Although being sold to the first 10,000 buyers at a starting price of Rs 2.23 lakh. Meanwhile, the Scrambler 400X price will be announced in October, the company said. Scrambler is the main competitor of this bike in the market – Yezdi Scrambler. Triumph Scrambler 400X vs Yezdi Scrambler : Engine
The Triumph Scrambler 400X is powered by a 398.15 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected engine. From which 39.5 bhp of power and 37.5 Nm of torque will be available. Whereas, the Yezdi Scrambler has a 334 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected engine. It produces 29.2 bhp of power and 28.21 Nm of torque. A 6-speed gearbox is present on both the motorcycles.

Length, width and wheelbase of Triumph Scrambler 400X are 2154 mm, 901 mm and 1418 mm. The bike has a seat height of 835 mm from the ground with a 13 liter fuel tank. Its weight is 185 kg. Whereas the Yezdi Scrambler has the same length-width but slightly lower wheelbase and seat height. They are 1403 mm and 800 mm respectively. It has a 12.5 liter fuel tank and weighs 192 kg.

The Triumph Scrambler 400X features a 43mm USD front fork and rear monoshock absorber. Whereas the Yezdi Scrambler rides on traditional telescopic forks and dual spring loaded shocks. Both the motorcycles are equipped with disc brakes on both wheels along with dual channel ABS to handle the braking duties. The Triumph model features slip and assist clutch, traction control, LED lighting, etc. Whereas the Yezdi bike can be optioned with an all-digital cluster.

The Triumph Scrambler 400X is expected to be priced at Rs 2.60 lakh. Whereas the Yezdi Scrambler sells for Tk 2.10-2.16 lakh in the country. Scrambler 400X is slightly more expensive but it is ahead of Yezdi Scrambler in terms of performance, engine output, features. So if you are addicted to Scrambler bikes then it would be wise to increase your budget and wait few months to buy Scrambler 400X.
