In India, MG Motor will announce the launch of a new variant of its best-selling electric vehicle ZS EV. It offers a second-stage autonomous driving system. It comes with 17 types of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The new variant of the MG ZS EV is priced at Rs 27.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Which is the most expensive variant of the car. In this country, it has Hyundai Kona, BYD Atto 3 and three other electric SUVs as rivals.
The ADAS variant of the MG ZS EV has been launched
The ADAS variant of the MG ZS EV priced at Rs 27.89 lakh is available for a limited time only, the company said. However, MG did not open its mouth about that period. Meanwhile, the price of the base version of the car in India starts from Rs 23.38 lakh (ex-showroom). Before the launch of the new Adas variant, the top-end version was priced at Rs 27.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
According to MG Motor, the ZS EV comes with their ADAS technology, three levels of sensitivity and warning. Features offered include Traffic Jam Assist – which provides a hassle-free driving experience even on congested roads, Forward Collision Warning – which uses automatic brakes to alert the driver of a potential accident, Speed Assist System – which prevents over speeding. Besides, there are lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control etc. In short, this car will correct the mistakes of the driver through technology.
The MG ZS EV is the company’s fourth model in the country to offer ADAS features. The remaining three vehicles are – Hector, Astor and Gloster SUV. Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, MG Motor India said, “The MG ZS EV with the second-generation ADAS has seen success in the global market. Which bears testimony to MG’s commitment to electric vehicles.”
Other features of the ADAS variant of the MG ZS EV are similar to the facelift version of the car launched a year ago. The electric model has a 50.3 kWh lithium battery pack. It supports DC fast charging. The battery is water and dust resistant. The company claims that it will give a range of 461 km on a full charge.
