A report by an all-India news agency claims that some Mahindra dealers have now announced a cash discount of up to Rs 30,000. Which is being offered in the 4×4 variant of the car. Incidentally, recently the price of Mahindra Thar has increased by Rs 1.05 lakh.
On the other hand, the car’s diesel manual hard-top RWD has been priced at Rs 55,000. And the company has increased the price of the LX diesel hard-top rear wheel drive variant by Rs 1.05 lakh. It is the best selling model of the car. The current market price of Mahindra Thar has gone from Rs 13.49 lakh to Rs 16.77 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra Thar: Performance
The Mahindra Thar is available in two engine variants. The 2.0 liter petrol engine produces 152 hp of power and 300 Nm of torque. Where its 2.2 liter diesel engine outputs 130 HP and 300 Nm of torque. Mahindra has recently confirmed that the car will be available in a five-door version. If all goes well, it will enter the Indian market next year. The car has already been seen testing on Indian roads.
