From the beginning of June, Indian automobile companies have been releasing their sales figures for the previous month one by one. This time, Hero MotoCorp has appeared with its sales reality. It is seen that the company sold 5,19,474 units of motorcycles and scooters in May. Whereas 4,86,704 units were sold in May 2022. As a result, Hero witnessed a 7% growth in last month’s sales.
Hero MotoCorp’s bike and scooter sales increased
Hero Motocorp has been able to retain the title of the country’s largest two-wheeler company. They sold around 1.90 lakh units more than the second placed Honda. Hero expects the demand to increase further in the coming months. Because the rural market is standing up due to good agriculture.
Hero sold 4,89,336 motorcycles last month. Whereas a year ago at that time this number was 4,52,246. However, scooter sales saw a decline in May (30,138 units) compared to the same period last year (34,138 units). Meanwhile, the sales of two-wheelers in the Indian market alone saw a significant increase in the last month (5,08,309 units) compared to the previous year in May (4,66,466 units). In May 2022, 20,238 units were exported, but last month it decreased to 11,165 units.
