Royal Enfield (Royal Enfield) is currently preparing for the launch of multiple motorcycles of 450 cc. The first model in the list is going to be the Himalayan 450. But this time another 450 cc bike was seen testing on the roads of India. Although the name has not been revealed, it is speculated to be either the Scram 450 or the Roadster 450. In this country it will compete with the KTM 390 Duke. The leaked video shows the bike with multiple accessories. Which indicates Royal Enfield’s plans to enter the street-naked segment.
Royal Enfield’s new 450cc bike got a glimpse
The rugged design bike may be named Scram 450. It has minimal body panels, small subframe, single piece seat – all in all the roadster style is evident. The bike may come with a saddle stay and a jerry can. It also comes with block pattern tires, which will help improve off-road performance. Round headlights give it a neo-retro look. It may have a 450 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine.
How about the bike?
Scrum 450’s spy video shows several accessories. For example – rear top box, small windscreen and bar-end mirrors. It has 17-inch alloy wheels on both sides. While the Himalayan 450 uses USD telescopic forks, the Scrum 450 will come with a traditional telescopic front fork. The company may launch the Street 450 after the Scrum 450 in 2024.
The features list of Scram 450 and Street 450 include LED headlights, sleek horizontal seat-integrated LED taillight, LED turn indicators, a rear monoshock, spherical ORVM, single piece seat. Mated to its 6-speed gearbox, the engine can produce 35 bhp of power and 40 Nm of torque. Apart from the KTM 390 Duke, the bike has BMW G 310 R, Yezdi Roadster as rivals.
