From electric scooters to new bikes, Honda will launch half a dozen two-wheelers in the country

Currently, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India or HMSI has established itself as the second largest two-wheeler company in India. To maintain its long-standing reputation, the Japanese company is gearing up for the launch of several new models in the country. Activa H-Smart and Shine 100 are recently launched in India. The company is gearing up to launch six more new two-wheelers this year. Including electric to ICE – both models. There is a detailed discussion about them.

Honda Dio H-Smart

Currently, Honda is preparing to launch the high-tech H-Smart version of their Dio scooter. Which will bring a bunch of advanced features. Like the regular model, the new version is powered by a 125 cc engine. Which will produce 8.30 bhp of power and 10.4 Nm of torque. Its list of smart features will include Keyless Lock/Unlock, Smart Find, SmartSafe etc.

New 160cc motorcycle

So far no information is known about Honda’s upcoming 160 cc motorcycle. According to sources, it will use the Unicorn and XBlade range of engines. Its output is 13.6 bhp and 14.7 Nm.

New 350cc cruiser

Honda’s upcoming motorcycle lineup includes a new 350cc cruiser model. The soon-to-be-launched bike will be based on the H’ness CB350. Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is available in the market as its rival at the time of launch. Its 350 cc engine will produce 20.78 bhp of power and 30 Nm of torque.

Honda CL300 Scram

Honda recently filed a design patent for the CL300 Scram in India. Which indicates an imminent launch of the bike in the country. It will use a 286 cc liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. From which 26 bhp of power and 27.5 Nm of torque will be produced. This engine currently powers the CB300R. However, there is no confirmation from Honda regarding the launch of the CL300 Scram.

Honda’s two new electric scooters

Honda may introduce two new electric scooters in the Indian market in 2024. The first model could be the electric version of their Activa. It will come based on the company’s new EV based platform ‘E’. As per the report, it will have a fixed battery. Whereas the second scooter will have a swappable battery.
