Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 with bigger display, Snapdragon 888 launched: Price, Specifications

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 finally unveiled along with Z Fold , Galaxy Watch 4 Series and more via Galaxy Unpacked Event yesterday. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 comes with a larger display, improved design, Snapdragon Flagship SoC, dual rear camera, secondary screen for notifications and more.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Specifications and Features

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 features a 6.7 inches AMOLED primary display with 120Hz fast refresh rate, and 1.9 inches secondary cover screen. Under the hood , the phone is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa core chipset that comes coupled with Adreno 660 upgradable GPU. It is accompanied by 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. The device comes equipped with 3300 mah battery and supports 15W fast charging only.

In terms of camera the smartphone boasts a dual rear camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor, 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor and both of the lenses comes with Corning Gorilla DX protection for lenses. For selfies, the phone sports a 10-megapixel front facing camera under the punch-hole at the top center. Rear cameras can also be used for selfies because of the secondary display and the rear camera switches automatically to ultrawide lens when people in the frame are more.

The device is running on Android 11 with One UI 3.1 on top. For connectivity the phone includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and USB Type-C port. Additionally, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor like the previous model. In terms of Dimensions, the smartphone measures 166 x 72.2 x 6.9 mm and weighs 183 grams.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Price and Availability

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 comes in two configurations including 8GB + 128GB priced at $999.99 and 8GB + 256GB for $1099.99. The company offered the phone in seven color options while three of the colors are only available for pre-orders namely grey, pink, and white and four other color options are Green, Lavender, Cream and Black. There is also a Thom Browne special edition of Galaxy Z Flip 3. The phone will be available for purchase from August 27 and pre-order shipment will arrive earlier than the first sale.
