AMD 3015e, 3020e Processors finally launched with Radeon Vega 3 Graphics and 1.2GHz clock speeds. AMD is ready to compete with Intel’s Atom Processor with these chipsets in Entry Level laptops. Moreover, Lenovo is the first company that introduced its 100e 2nd Gen and Lenovo 300e 2nd Gen notebooks with the 3015e processor.
AMD 3015e and 3020e Chipset Specifications
AMD 3015e and 3020e builds on 14 nanometer CMOS technology and based on the company’s existing Zen architecture with a default thermal design point ( TDP ) of 6W. The chipsets are powered by dual-core configuration at a base clock speed of 1.2GHz, along with four threads. In terms of graphics, Both of the chipsets come with the same Radeon Vega 3 GPU at 600MHz frequency.
There are some of the differences in both of the chipsets. AMD 3015e has a maximum boost clock speed of up to 2.3GHz, while the AMD 3020e can be clocked at up to 2.6MHz. The AMD 3020e also includes dual-channel DDR4 support at 2,400MHz frequency, Moreover, the base variant of AMD 3015e has single-channel DDR4 support at 1,600MHz. Besides, both new processers have DisplayPort and HDMI support as well as include a PCIe 3.0 interface.
As mentioned, the Lenovo 100e 2nd Gen and Lenovo 300e 2nd Gen notebooks have been revealed with the 3015e processor. The new laptops cost $219 (around Rs. 16,400) which delivers up to 12 hours of battery life on a single charge. The Lenovo 300e 2nd Gen comes with a 360-degree hinge design and includes stylus support. What are your thoughts on AMD 3015e, 3020e Processors, let me know in the comment section.
